Finally, I would like to reiterate the message the league sent to all our members regarding the strength and status of the NSL. The NSL continues to be a league for the clubs, by the clubs and with the clubs, built on the principles of compete, develop and succeed.

The NSL will continue to assist all of our members and offer the best possible pathways for development by offering initiatives such as the US Club Soccer Player Development Program and the Olympic Development Program. We will continue to serve our member clubs by offering top quality competition and services that will help them improve, strengthen, and develop.

We understand clubs face multiple challenges throughout the year and we are available to assist clubs in these tough decisions to help ensure their long-term future. The league wishes all our past clubs well and we would like to thank them for their contribution to the success of the NSL.

The future of the league is bright and we are focused and determined to provide new initiatives for our members with the aim of providing a league that fosters player development through high-quality competition. Our staff is committed to providing the best league for our membership.

Technical Director News

Massive congratulations to all the NSL teams competing in state cup and the various Memorial Day Tournaments across the region. Pease make sure you take NSL in any tweets and also feel free to post to our FaceBook page.

PDP Program
We had an excellent turnout for our May 12th event with almost 100 boys and girls braving the weather to compete and represent the league. The level of play was outstanding and we have identified a group of boys and girls to attend a 3rd training session on June 23rd where we may even play against another leagues PDP group.

12U NSL Winners’ Cup
On June 2nd and 3rd we will be hosting a 12U Tournament for boys and girls at Forekicks Taunton and it’s going to be great to see so many of our teams and coaches participate in this new event for the league. The boys are represented with 8 teams whilst we have 6 girls’ teams who will compete in round robin games and then a final to crown the overall champions.

Coach Development
We are thrilled to announce that our partners at US Club will be hosting a LaLiga Formation Methodology level 3 courses from July 27-29 at Taunton Forekicks. There is limited space available for this event and there is an early bird discount from US Club Soccer of $50 for early registration up until Monday, June 4th.

In addition as our commitment to Coach Development the NSL will also reimburse any NSL coaches with teams registered for fall 2018 play with an additional $50 when they complete the course. Having taken this course myself I can fully recommend it as a great option for all our coaches and it would be great to see as many NSL clubs represented as possible.

Links for the course are listed below and a PDP offering more information.

I want to conclude by underlining our commitment as a league to your club, players, parents and coaches and reinforce that we will continue to be a league that is driven to support your organization as they compete, develop and succeed.
